TCF sample tests that match the real exam
Each Exam Hero mock is a complete TCF sample test: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking, in the same order and with the same timing as test day. Listening plays each recording once. Reading Part A closes after 15 minutes, before Parts B and C. Writing gives you 5 minutes to read the case notes before you can type.
Listening and Reading are marked against an answer key. Your Writing letter is assessed against the six TCF criteria, and your Speaking role-plays with a live AI patient are assessed against all nine, so the result shows what to fix, not just a number.
Take your first mock at the start of your preparation to find your weakest sub-test, then use the question bank and study guides to work on it before your next full test.
Is there a free TCF sample test?
Yes. Every free Exam Hero account includes one full-length TCF mock test with real timing and AI feedback on Writing and Speaking. No credit card is required.
How close are the mock tests to the real TCF?
Each mock follows the TCF format: Listening Parts A, B and C (42 questions), Reading Part A in 15 minutes and Parts B and C in 45 minutes (42 questions), a Writing letter with 5 minutes reading time and 40 minutes writing, and two Speaking role-plays with 3 minutes preparation each.
Are Writing and Speaking set for my profession?
Yes. Choose your profession, such as nursing, medicine or pharmacy, and the Writing case notes and Speaking role-plays are set for it. Listening and Reading are the same for everyone, as in the real test.
Do I get a score after the mock test?
Yes. You get an estimated score on the 0 to 500 scale and a grade for each sub-test, with feedback per criterion for Writing and Speaking, so you can see how far you are from Grade B (350).
